BPCC hosting computer tech career event for high school and middle school students

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS)—In early March, a college in Bossier City will host a free event to introduce high school and middle school students to opportunities in the field of technology.

Bossier Parish Community College’s Computer Technology Career Event will connect young students with industry professionals. Students can ask questions and explore potential careers in IT, software development, networking, and cybersecurity.

Mack Slaughter co-owns Trust Technology Consultants. He received his degree in Computer Information Systems from BPCC and will be the keynote speaker at the event.

The free event will be held on Tuesday, March 4, from 9:00 a.m. until noon in the Coach Billy Montgomery Gymnasium on BPCC’s Bossier campus.

Light refreshments will be provided at the event.
