Detectives began investigating an armed robbery on S. 18th Street on Oct. 27, 2024. Police said the victim, who was visiting a friend, was robbed at gunpoint, and the suspect stole $1,500 in cash before fleeing.
Detectives identified Jakyre Foreman, 32, as the suspect, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On Feb. 27, Foreman was taken into custody and charged with armed robbery with a firearm.
Police said Foreman has a criminal history including previous arrests for charges of drug possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm with controlled dangerous substances, resisting an officer, simple robbery and simple battery.
