Abilene man arrested for starting dumpster fire during escape

TYE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – An Abilene man was accused of starting a dumpster fire while evading capture on Thursday night.

Elias Moreno Olague was arrested in Tye on a 2nd Degree Arson Charge at around 9:00 p.m. on February 27.

Police say that the suspect was reported near Dollar General at a time for allegedly stealing from the store. Shortly after, the suspect tried to escape on foot.

Olague has been booked in the Taylor County Jail with a bond of $25,000.
