The Krewe of Nandi is an all-female Krewe that started in 2022. The theme this year was “Welcome to the motherland,” as the all-female krewe celebrates sisterhood, self-love and empowerment.
The crew was joined by marching bands, dance teams and parade-goers ready to catch the krewe’s custom-decorated teacup.
Float Lieutenant Jendayi Tribe Courtney Fontenot says this parade is the highlight of their year.
“We have been so hyped since, you know, the year started. I mean, this is what this is all about for us. Everything comes to this point. I’ve got an amazing flow crew and they have kept me pumped up the entire time. It’s just been an amazing thing. It’s always just really the excitement of everything culminating to this one point,” said Fontenot.
