By rssfeeds-admin ST. CHARLES, Ill. — An 84-year-old man has been charged in the sexual assaults of five minors over a span of 15 years in Kane County.
Michael Farris, of Montgomery, Illinois, 23 counts of criminal sexual assault and 67 counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault.
According to the Kane County State’s Attorney, Farris allegedly committed acts of sexual penetration with five victims between the ages of 13 and 17 from January 20, 2008 to July 30, 2022.
Farris was taken into custody at his home Wednesday, following a thorough investigation from the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Investigators believe Farris may have had more victims.
The state’s attorney’s office reports Farris was involved in organizations such as train club and the Boy Scouts of America.
He is due to appear in court on Thursday.
