Man arrested for sexual battery at Mississippi hospital

TUPELO, Miss. (WJTV) – A man was arrested and charged with sexual battery following an incident at a Mississippi hospital, police said.

According to Tupelo police, officers responded to the North Mississippi Medical Center on February 4, 2025, after they received a report of sexual battery.

Medical staff informed officers that a suspect has been seen inappropriately touching an unconscious patient. Police said the suspect, Bryan P. Bell, 41, of Amory, and the victim were known to each other.

Following an investigation, Tupelo police arrested Bell on February 24. He was charged with sexual battery, and his bond was set at $35,000.

This case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
