Cajun Industries looks to bring in over 600 jobs to Iberia Parish. The company plans to build its new modular fabrication yard on over 60 acres of land.
“What we’re doing here today is going to give Louisiana an opportunity to take back the 2% of refining capacity that we lost over the last decade.” said Landry. “And to go out there and to capture the projects that have been evading us over the last two decades.”
Senior Vice President of Cajun industries Andrew Lopez called this move “Job creation at its finest”.
“We have children here that we have finishing high school, finishing college that we want to try to keep in this area,” said Iberia Parish President Larry Richard.
Landry says the move is exactly what President Donald Trump is hoping to accomplish for the future of the country.
“We want America to be number one and we want America to be exceptional. He believes in that. I believe in that because the greatest natural resource we have in this country and in this state is you.” said Landry.
Cajun Industries is expected to open business in the beginning of the summer.
