JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A man accused in the investigation of the 2016 fatal stabbing of a Raising Cane’s manager will stand trial.
On Monday, Feb. 24, a Jefferson Parish judge ruled that Joshua Every is competent to stand trial in the death of Taylor Friloux.
Every was one of four people who were arrested in connection with the June 29, 2016, robbery and deadly stabbing at a Raising Cane’s on Williams Boulevard.
Every is facing first-degree murder and robbery charges. His trial date has been set for Oct. 14.
