Teenager shot in West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) — A 16-year-old male has been shot in West Philadelphia.

According to Philadelphia Police, the teenager was shot in the back near 52nd & Chestnut Streets just after 11 a.m. Police rushed the victim to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

There is no word on the victim’s condition as of Tuesday afternoon.

Two people are in custody, and officers recovered two firearms.
