Soldier had 90 images, 70 videos containing child sexual abuse while stationed in Fort Campbell

PADUCAH, Ky. (FOX 56) — A former Fort Campbell soldier was sentenced in mid-February for receiving and distributing child pornography.

The United States Attorney’s Office said 24-year-old Brett Nicolas Ellison was sentenced to 5 years and 4 months in prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release, for one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

Between November 2019 and June 2022, Ellison received and possessed child sexual abuse material while he was a soldier stationed at the Fort Campbell Army Post, possessing over 90 images and 70 videos containing child sexual abuse material, according to court documents.

Ellison was also ordered to pay $57,000 in restitution to victims.
