School Board candidate filing period opens Monday

The candidate filing period for Arkansas school board elections opens Monday at noon and closes at noon on March 3. Election Day is May 13.

Five positions are open: Mountain Home Positions 1, 2 and 3, Norfork Position 1, and Cotter Position 3.

Candidates must collect at least 20 verifiable signatures on their petitions. The petition circulation period is already underway.

The deadline to register to vote is April 14, and early voting begins May 6.
