On Feb. 23, around 9:30 p.m., officers were patrolling the area of 15th Avenue and 10th Street when they saw a white Dodge Journey that did not use a turn signal when turning onto 9th Street.
The van turned onto Broadway Street before pulling over. When authorities asked the occupants of the vehicle to get out, Wells started running from the scene, according to court records.
Wells was tackled and taken into custody soon after. Authorities searched the area where he ran and found a handgun lying on the ground.
Police searched the van and found cannabis along with a digital scale.
When officers interviewed McLin at District 1 Police Station, she became argumentative and allegedly threw her smartwatch at an officer, hitting him.
McLin is charged with aggravated battery of an officer and delivering cannabis.
Well is charged with felon possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm without a FOID and resisting an officer.
