Rockford man on pretrial release charged with delivering cannabis

LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — Loves Park Police arrested Aaron Bannister, 25, for allegedly delivering cannabis after a traffic stop.

On Feb. 24, around 10:30 p.m., officers saw an orange Ford Edge run a red light at the intersection of Riverside and East Drive, according to court records.

Authorities found that the car’s registration was suspended as well.

Police pulled the vehicle over at Riverside and North Main and smelled raw cannabis when they approached the car.

Officers searched both occupants and found multiple bags of cannabis. Bannister told authorities all the cannabis was his.
