Paris Road reopens in Chalmette following fire
CHALMETTE, La. (WGNO) — Parts of Paris Road in Chalmette were shut down due to a fire in the area on Monday afternoon, according to the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office.

St. Bernard Parish deputies said crews responded to the fire at WB Scrap Metal.

While crews worked to extinguish the blaze, deputies said that the northbound and southbound lanes of Paris Road in Chalmette have been closed.

SBSO officials said drivers were advised to find alternate routes.

SBSO deputies said Paris Road was reopened to traffic around 6:25 p.m.
