By rssfeeds-admin INDIANAPOLIS – A man died after police found him lying in the road while responding to a reported shooting on the near east side Tuesday morning.
According to IMPD, officers were dispatched before 5:40 a.m. to the 400 block of Oakland Avenue for a reported shooting.
When officers arrived at the location, they found a man lying in the road suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
