The DOJ says “Paul New, 57, of Fresno was sentenced on Monday to three years in prison for conspiracy to destroy property and malicious destruction by means of an explosive device.”
According to court documents, New committed a series of pipe bombings on unoccupied vehicles and property in Fresno between November 2022 and February 2023.
“The bombings damaged vehicles belonging to two auto-related businesses on Clinton Avenue,” the DOJ said.
On Feb. 19, 2023, the DOJ says “a bomb heavily damaged a vehicle used by a home health care business on Fallbrook Avenue,” and “on Oct. 9, 2024, co-defendant Scott Eric Anderson was sentenced to three years in prison.”
