Teen shot, flown to hospital, after Sunday evening incident in Marion

MARION, Ind. — A teenager is in a Fort Wayne hospital after a Sunday evening shooting in Marion.

According to officials with the Marion Police Department, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 300 block of S. Gallatin Street at around 11:15 p.m. on Sunday.

Officials said a 16-year-old was shot in the upper chest during an incident in the street. The department said that two juveniles have been identified as persons of interest.

The 16-year-old was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital. The department said that the case remains under investigation.
