Social Engineering 101

This 2-minute video outlines how social engineers manipulate people in social settings to gain information on how to hack systems and steal valuable information.  The video outlines various methods social engineers use to trick you into giving up valuable information over the phone or even in person. Social Engineers pose as trust-worthy people (Trades people such as Electricians, Plumbers, Communications providers (Verizon, Comcast) etc) and seek access to sensitive rooms and locations in your business.  They drop names of senior leaders in your organization, ask lots of technical questions, and do so with a friendly cheerful and sometimes demanding way. Learn to spot social engineers so you can avoid falling prey to their tactics.
