Kenner man pleads guilty in 2023 child sex crime case

KENNER, La. (WGNO) — A Kenner man has pled guilty in a 2023 child sexual abuse material investigation.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office reported that 47-year-old Noah Torres pled guilty to a charge of possession of materials involving the sexual abuse of minors on Thursday, Feb. 20.

Court documents state that Torres was arrested on July 24, 2023, after Homeland Security Investigations agents searched his Kenner home.

After the search, Torres reportedly admitted to having 219 photos and 340 videos “depicting prepubescent minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.”

Torres faces up to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, a minimum of five years of supervised release and a $100 assessment fee.

Torres’ sentencing is set for May 22.
