Mount Sterling businesses, residents asked to check cameras after armed robbery on Indian Mound Drive

MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (FOX 56) — An investigation is underway in Montgomery County with deputies seeking information after an armed robbery on Thursday.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), deputies were dispatched around 11:45 a.m. on Thursday to the HLT Check Exchange on Indian Drive near Winchester Road.

A man authorities said was wanted in connection with the armed robbery investigation was described as a white man wearing all black who was reportedly holding a gun at the time of the robbery.

Montgomery County deputies posted on Facebook that investigators are asking nearby businesses and residences for camera footage of the area.
