Tree trimmer electrocuted while working in Abilene

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A tree trimmer was electrocuted while working in Abilene this weekend.

Police say a 22-year-old woman was part of a tree trimming crew working on the 900 block of South Leggett Drive Saturday.

While working, police say a bucket from the crew’s bucket truck struck a powerline, causing this woman to get electrocuted and suffer burns.

She was initially treated in Abilene the transported to a burn unit in Lubbock, where her current condition is unknown.

She was unconscious when hospitalized in Abilene, according to police.
