Join Shreveport’s Big Back Bake Club: Cook, taste, and share

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A new club perfect for food lovers and baking aficionados is beginning at the Shreve Memorial Library West Shreveport Branch.

According to a press release, the Big Back Bake Club will meet monthly and is all about flavor, fun, and encouragement of other food enthusiasts. Attendees will be able to swap recipes and sample new dishes.

The Big Back Bake Club is the perfect opportunity for adults to learn, share, and make new friends in the kitchen.

Library officials say the first meeting of the Big Back Bake Club will be held on Tuesday, February 25 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The meeting will feature cooking demonstrations showcasing both sweet and savory dishes designed to tempt your taste buds, from indulgent desserts to hearty comfort foods.

Whether a seasoned chef or simply one who loves trying new dishes, all food lovers are welcome to the club.

They say the Big Back Bake Club will also meet on Wednesday, March 26 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a spicy Cajun Fire Cracker treat for all. Cajun Fire Crackers are a bold and zesty twist on a classic Southern favorite. Attendees will be able to learn how to make the spicy treat with a hands-on demonstration and take home a batch of their own.

The Big Back Bake Club will continue to meet each month, with new and different foods to sample and recipes to learn.

Meetings will be held at the West Shreveport Branch, located at 4380 Pines Road. There is no cost to attend, and registration is not required.

For more information and upcoming meetings, please contact the West Shreveport Branch at (318) 635-0883.
