CPD: 11-year-old boy critical after being repeatedly stabbed in the chest

CHICAGO (WGN) — An 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after being repeatedly stabbed in the chest on the City’s South Side Thursday night, according to the Chicago Police Department.

CPD officers were called to the 200 block of West 66th Street around 8:10 p.m. in the city’s Englewood neighborhood near the Dan Ryan Expressway on reports of a person being stabbed.

CPD said when police arrived, Chicago firefighters were on scene treating an 11-year-old boy who was stabbed multiple times in the chest.

He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Police have no one in custody as Area One Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances around the incident.
