The 16-week program teaches students the necessary skills needed for a career in the IT field.
“As everything becomes more computerized and AI is taking over, we’re still gonna need people that can make the fixes on those computers and those printers, and all these devices that we love so much,” said YWCA’s Stacey Wright. “So this is the perfect job to give you that entry ticket into the world of technology.”
The program is free for anyone interested.
Classes and professional certifications will begin on March 10th. The program offers weekly stipends based on attendance and punctuality.
Learning sessions will be held Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the YWCA Northwestern Illinois building located at 4990 East State Street in Rockford.
