This weekend’s average prices are $4.10 per pound for live crawfish and $6.49 per pound for boiled crawfish.
“This week we’ve seen a $.20 cent per pound price drop for live crawfish, and a $.30 cent per pound price drop for boiled crawfish,” Co-Founder and Operator of The Crawfish App Laney King said. “Even though there was not a decrease in prices at the crawfish docks (at the farmer/fishermen level) this week, it appears more retailers are opening their doors in anticipation of the Lenten season, and that increased competition is driving crawfish prices down.”
King said this year’s crawfish season is “shaping up to be a normal one” as average prices are on track to be under $3 per pound by the middle of crawfish season.
