CHICAGO — Two brothers were sentenced Wednesday for the 2018 murder of a suburban landlord.

According to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, Tony Green was sentenced to 45 years and Elijah Green was sentenced to 47 years.

Vasudeva Kethireddy, 76, of Rolling Meadows, was reported missing in August 2018. He was last seen collecting rent from properties he owned in the city’s Englewood neighborhood.

Police said Kethireddy’s car was found 10 feet from one of his properties, and his body was discovered in a sewer on the same block in September 2018 — nearly two months after he went missing.

Investigators determined he was strangled.
