Aaron Billingsley, 24, and Rodheem Lee are also charged with involvement in the burglary.
On September 2, around 11 a.m., officers were called to the bowling alley for reports of glass doors, six slot machines and two ATMs being damaged. Over $35,000 was stolen from the slot machines, according to court records.
Security video allegedly showed Howard dropping off two men dressed in all black and waiting for them in a red Dodge Charger, police said.
Surveillance footage also showed the 2 suspects smashing the machines with a sledgehammer and using pry bars to gain access to the cash. All three men were in communication through headsets, according to court documents.
Officers reported Howard was arrested while driving the Charger in Chicago with the burglary equipment in the trunk on September 4, 2024.
A search of Howard’s phone revealed multiple pictures of Billingsley, Lee, and himself with large quantities of cash.
All three suspects are charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, and criminal property damage.
Howard appeared in court in Winnebago County on February 20, 2025, and was granted pretrial release.
According to court records, Billingsley and Lee are still at large.
