PHOTOS: ISP responds to crash involving 9 semis, 4 cars in St. Joseph County

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana State Police responded to a crash that involved nine semis, four cars and one ISP patrol vehicle in St. Joseph County on Tuesday.

ISP Sgt. Ted Bohner said in a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, that authorities were called to the eastbound lanes on the Indiana Toll Road near mile marker 61 after receiving multiple calls for a multi-vehicle crash.

The crash caused traffic backups on the interstate as reconstruction crews arrived on the scene. Bohner confirmed that no injuries were reported.

Bohner said in a 6 p.m. update that the scene was cleared but urged drivers to give authorities time for the backed-up traffic to clear.
