According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, one crash happened on I-465 westbound near the I-65 interchange (mile marker 53).
Indiana State Police said the crash involved a car and a box truck. ISP couldn’t comment on any injuries.
INDOT traffic cameras showed traffic backed up in the area and moving slowly. Westbound was reduced to a single travel lane. Not far from that crash, INDOT reported another incident on a nearby ramp.
The area finally cleared around 7:40 a.m.
The crashes were among several reported on interstates Wednesday morning.
On the southeast side, INDOT indicated there was a crash on I-74 westbound between Fisher Road and I-465 affecting a ramp. It cleared around 7:45 a.m.
A southwest side crash on I-465 southbound (mile marker 9.3) slowed the I-70 exit ramp. That cleared around 8:30 a.m.
Other incidents included a crash on I-65 northbound between College Ave and Central Avenue (near mile marker 112) and a number of reported incidents on I-70 eastbound between I-465 and downtown Indianapolis.
INDOT noted multiple incidents on I-65 southbound just north of downtown.
Northwest of Indianapolis, a crash on I-65 southbound near Whitestown (mile marker 130) shut down two lanes.
