Dead woman found along Louisiana highway, police say
DESOTO PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating what caused the death of a woman found in a ditch Wednesday morning, authorities said.
According to DPSO, deputies were called around 7:17 a.m. Wednesday to La. 84 East within the Mansfield city limits. When they arrived, deputies found a woman’s body in a ditch.
The woman is believed to be in her 50s or 60s. Her body was sent for an autopsy, and at this time, DPSO does not consider the woman’s death to be a result of foul play, officials said.
The woman’s identity is being withheld until her family has been notified. This is an ongoing investigation.
