By this afternoon, drier air starts moving in with a bit of a break from active skies. High pressure sets up and you may start to think inversion conditions will set up, but inversion will be limited as the solar angle changes. We will see dry skies Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday afternoon with daytime highs close to average with a range of 40s expected along the Wasatch Front and low 60s in St. George.
We get another storm system impacting us Wednesday evening into Thursday. This one will start cold, favoring snow in the valleys, before warming up and switching things to a rain/snow mix.
The mountains could pick up another good helping of snowfall, depending on storm intensity. By Friday, high pressure builds in, bringing drier and warmer conditions into the weekend.
