(WHTM) — Police rescued a person who was dumped into a trash truck after being trapped inside a dumpster in Pennsylvania.

According to the Allentown Fire Department, on February 17 at around 4:14 a.m., police were dispatched to 2nd Street and West Hamilton Street in Allentown for reports of a person trapped inside a trash truck.

The fire department says upon arrival, authorities determined that an individual had been inside a dumpster when it was emptied into the truck.

Firefighters and EMS personnel successfully rescued the person trapped in the truck at 4:57 a.m. and sent them to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest with non life-threatening injuries.
