BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) – A Pennsylvania man hit a once-in-a-lifetime jackpot but was denied being able to collect it.

Pennsylvania State Police say on Feb. 15 around 4 p.m. a Philadelphia man was on the gaming floor at Parx Casino in Bensalem when he won a $57,000.07 jackpot.

However, State Police say the 46-year-old had “self-excluded himself for life” from playing casino games in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania’s self-exclusion list allows individuals affected by problem gambling to remove themselves from the ability to place bets. Those on the list will voluntarily ban themselves from casinos, internet-based gambling, video gaming terminals, and fantasy sports wagering.

Self-imposed bans can be for either a set period of time or for the player’s lifetime.

The man was cited for trespassing at the casino.
