Illinois lottery player wins $1 million in online game

On Monday, the player won the Lotto Million 1 drawing with the numbers: 8-16-20-25-42-46. In less than two months, over 93,000 Lotto tickets have already been sold this year, resulting in $14.7 million in prizes won by Illinois players.

The Lotto game is played three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This is an Illinois-exclusive game, and the current jackpot is $2.6 million. On top of the regular drawing, Lotto offers two other types of games:

• Lotto Million 1
• Lotto Million 2

These two drawings give players the opportunity to win $1 million by matching six numbers, which is what the player won on Feb. 17. Tickets for Lotto are able to be bought in-store, online or on the Illinois Lottery app.
