What’s open and closed on Presidents Day in Philly?

Today, Monday 17, is President’s Day which commemorates President George Washington and Abraham Lincoln’s birthdays.

Whether you have the day off from work or school or are just treating it like a regular day, many businesses will be closed in observance of the Federal Holiday.

U.S. Post Office:

• All U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed and mail will not be delivered.

FedEx and UPS:

• UPS^® pickup and delivery services are available and all UPS Store^® locations are open. 
• FedEx 1 will be operating on a Modified service while FedEx Freight, FedEx Office, FedEx Custom Critical, and FedEx Logistics will be operating as planned.

Banks:

• President’s Day is a federal holiday so banks will be closed.

Retail Stores:

• Most big box retailers and grocery stores will be open. Check store hours online before heading out.

Government agencies:

• Government offices including DMVs, city halls, and courthouses will be closed.
