Lt. Cameron Roden with Utah Highway Patrol told ABC4.com the crash happened after a white sedan struck a van near mile marker 26, just south of the Legacy Parkway and I-15 interchange. The van then crashed into the center barricade and rolled onto its side.
Medical and emergency crews responded to the scene. Fortunately, everyone involved suffered only minor injuries and was treated on the scene.
Crews were still on the scene shortly before 9:30 a.m., however, the crash was moved off to the side and no longer blocking traffic. Shortly after the crash, UDOT’s online traffic monitor showed traffic backed up for about a half-mile, past the 2100 North exit.
