FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A parent and four kids were displaced after an attic caught fire in Fresno Saturday afternoon, the Fresno Fire Department announced.
Firefighters say around 1:40 p.m. they responded to a home near Gettysburg and Pico avenues for a report of a fire.
On scene, crews reported fire coming from the attic space over the kitchen. They remained on scene for about two hours and removed parts of the ceiling to make sure the fire was completely out.
Investigators believe the cause of the fire was related to an electrical issue.
As a result, firefighters say an adult and four kids were displaced and have been put in contact with Red Cross.
