2 police officers, 1 other person sustain minor injuries in crash at intersection on Near North Side: CPD

CHICAGO — Two Chicago police officers and another person sustained minor injuries Sunday night when a vehicle collided with a patrol car at an intersection on the Near North Side.

According to police, at about 8:15 p.m. in the 500 block of North Michigan Avenue, a black sedan was going north on Michigan Ave. when it collided with a marked patrol vehicle that was going east on Illinois Street with lights and sirens activated.

The two officers inside the patrol vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to an area hospital in good condition, police say. The driver of the black sedan, an adult male, was not injured, but an adult female passenger sustained minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital in good condition, according to police.

Police say no citations were issued.
