Capitol police arrest man at Jackson motel for kidnapping

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police arrested a man at a motel in connection to a kidnapping.

Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said officers responded to a kidnapping near Willow Street Apartments just before 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 15.

When officers arrived at the scene, they received information about the person who was kidnapped. Martin said the information led officers to the suspect, Darrius Wilson, 31, who was at the Mustang Motel in Jackson.

According to Martin, Wilson was arrested and charged with kidnapping. She said the kidnapped individual was located in the motel room. The victim was treated at the scene and had no apparent physical injuries.
