Steady rain is continuing to slide through Central Indiana this evening. Heavy showers are present in southern Indiana but will turn over to snow late tonight.

Through the overnight hours, temperatures will begin to fall, allowing rain to transfer to snow across northern and central Indiana. Lake effect snow showers will be around tomorrow afternoon.

Snow accumulations will be likely in Indianapolis and to the north. We are excited to see around 1-2 inches with higher amounts to the north. Slick spots will be possible tomorrow afternoon and evening hours.

Once the snow pushes out, temperatures will plummet to the lower teens to single digits Sunday night. Wind chill values early Monday morning will be sitting near 0° if not below in many areas. The arctic air will continue through the week with the coldest air expected Thursday night.

We will also carry the chance for a few snow showers through the middle of the week with possible accumulations.
