4 semis catch fire at warehouse on northwest side of Indianapolis

Public police reporting systems indicate the Indianapolis Fire Department was called to 6450 Gateway Drive around 3:47 p.m. to investigate a semi fire. IFD confirmed that four unoccupied semis were ultimately impacted by the blaze.

The burning semis left the warehouse building they were parked near with soot and smoke damage. IFD reported that nobody was injured by the blaze, as it was brought under control in 15 minutes.

The business that owns the warehouse is El Paisano Wholesale, a food and beverage company.

Officials are still investigating the cause of Saturday’s fire. IFD received assistance from the Speedway and Pike Township fire departments at the scene.
