At around 9:20 a.m. on Feb. 10, Weber Fire District personnel responded to a fire at storage units located in Marriott-Slaterville, Weber County.
Authorities arrived on scene and found a “large column of smoke” and visible flames, according to a press release from Weber Fire. Firefighters from Riverdale Fire, Ogden Fire, and Hill Air Force Base Fire responded to assist.
Through quick response, firefighters were able to contain the blaze to five storage units, though multiple others sustained smoke damage, officials said.
Two people were injured in this incident. One individual was treated for minor injuries on scene, while another — a firefighter — was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. His condition has not been released.
This incident is currently under investigation.
