Police say Tashiuntay Miles, 33, is wanted by SPD for allegedly depositing a check for $61,611.31 on August 29, 2024, at Carter Federal Credit Union ATM. Police said the investigation started on January 8, 2025, when they received a report from Legacy National Bank related to a fraudulent transaction.
On September 6, 2024, Miles entered the Carter Federal Credit Union’s Bert Kouns branch, withdrawing $60,000 through a cashier’s check.
The check was initially made payable to Mayekawa U.S.A. and drawn on a Legacy National Bank account under George Foods, LLC. The check was returned as fraudulent, and investigators determined that Miles was not authorized to negotiate the check. Through their examination, police learned that the check was manufactured and contained Miles’ address and signature.
Video surveillance obtained by Shreveport police confirmed Miles’ identity using a cross reference of her photo ID retrieved from the Louisiana Fusion Center.
Police secured a warrant for Tashiuntay Miles on Tuesday, February 5, 2025, for one count of bank fraud. Anyone with information leading to Miles’ arrest is asked to contact the Shreveport Police Department at 318-673-7300 or Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
