One person shot in truck in Abilene parking lot, suspect at large

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – One person was shot inside a truck in an Abilene parking lot, and police are now searching for the suspect or suspects involved.

Officers were called to an injured subject call in the parking lot of the 4700 block of S 14th Street around 3:00 a.m. Friday, and when the arrived on scene, they found a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Investigators say the victim, who is hospitalized in critical condition, was a passenger in a truck that was struck by several bullets and that they believe the suspect or suspects involved in the shooting fled in a second vehicle.

Abilene police say that, “this incident was not a random occurrence.”
