Archbishop Shaw’s Hank Tierney named Allstate Sugar Bowl Coach of the Year
NEW ORLEANS — Archbishop Shaw head football coach Hank Tierney was named the Allstate Sugar Bowl Coach of the Year after leading the Eagles to the Division II Select state championship.
Shaw’s 28-25 win over the E.D. White Cardinals helped the program secure its first state title since Tierney and company won state in 1987.
The Allstate Sugar Bowl hosted its awards banquet Saturday at the Superdome.
