Wabash man flown to hospital with serious injuries after car flips in Miami County crash

MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. — A 35-year-old Wabash man was flown to a hospital after his vehicle flipped multiple times during a crash in Miami County on Thursday afternoon.

According to Indiana State Police, the crash occurred on U.S. 31 near Sease Drive at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Investigators believe the Wabash man was driving a black 2010 Audi passenger car northbound on U.S. 31 when he rear-ended a Ram 2500 for undetermined reasons.

The collision caused the Audi to veer off the roadway and flip multiple times before coming to a rest. The 35-year-old driver was ejected from the Audi during the crash.

Investigators believe excessive speed played a part in the crash but neither alcohol or narcotics are suspected of contributing to the crash.

The driver of the Dodge Ram sustained minor injuries.
