The shooting happened around 4:45 a.m. Friday on the 900 block of East 45th Street in the Kenwood neighborhood.
Police said two women, both 34-years-old, were standing near the street when they were approached by a dark-colored vehicle.
According to police, two men exited the vehicle and fired shots at the victims, then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
One woman sustained two gunshot wounds in the shoulder and the other woman sustained a gunshot wound in the flank. Police said they were both transported in good condition to the University of Chicago Hospital.
No one is in custody. Area One detectives are investigating.
