Rockford City Market gives last-minute Valentine’s Day shoppers a local option

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockfordians still have a chance to buy their Valentine’s Day gifts while supporting local businesses with Rockford’s Valentine’s Day Market.

The market is happening through Thursday evening. This year’s theme is “A Galentine’s Celebration.”

Shoppers can pick up handmade gifts made in Rockford while sipping themed drinks and listening to live music.

“For us, it’s all about creating opportunities for local entrepreneurs to connect to the community. Things like this, things like markets create those opportunities. Anytime we are able to invite that engagement, we love to do it.”

The market closes at 8 p.m.
