Chicago police seek help to identify person of interest in Uptown homicide last October

CHICAGO — Chicago police are asking the public for help to identify the person of interest in connection to a fatal shooting in the Uptown neighborhood last October.

The shooting happened just after 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 1 in the 900 block of West Eastwood Avenue.

According to investigators, a 57-year-old man was shot in the leg and taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital where he later died.

Police released surveillance video Thursday that captures an individual, who they call a person of interest in the homicide.
