Press L. Robinson held a book signing at Southern University’s Museum of Art, where his newest book, Pressing Forward, was featured.
Robinson said the story depicts his life growing up in South Carolina before he moved to Baton Rouge, where he became a professor and later chancellor of Southern University. He was pivotal in shaping equal rights for East Baton Rouge Parish Black residents.
“We fought for things back in 50s’, 60s’ and 70s’. We’re fighting today for those same rights we thought we won back in those days. Trump and his compadres are trying to fast take a lot of those away. So, the fight never ends. The methodology changes, but the fight does not,” Robinson said.
His book is available on Amazon, LSU Press, and any retailer.
